It was so much fun photographing in the showroom of Living Edge. There were so many nice things to drool over. The good taste doesn't need much highlighting however the passion & knowledge about furniture, architecture and design trends was impressive.

Portraits of Sandra Hills

Tue 16 May 2017

The devil is the detail the say... I had a fun time at a rather sumptious location. It almost felt like being back in Europe -almost- on closer inspection the wall relief shows gumtrees of course.

at the blood bank

Thu 11 May 2017

Photographing at the blood bank brought me back to my days working in the hospital. It was great meeting all those inspiring people, who do the behind the scenes work and keep Victorian safe with blood supplies. Donating blood is so important, and so is getting tested to find out ones blood group. There are only 2 people alive in Australia who have the Bombay blood group. From what I understand the Bombay blood has an important role as it works for all blood groups and in an emergency will be the blood of choice. So yes donating is important, but let's try and find a few Bombay blood groups type too!

Heritage Brands shoot

Wed 10 May 2017

Here are some images from yesterday shoot with CEO Constantine Gendis at Heritage Brands. It was easily the best smelling office I have ever been to. I am not even a big fan of parfum per se but there is something to be said how essential oils can create atmosphere on a sutle level.

ultra runner Isobel Ross

Tue 2 May 2017

it is no wonder that Isobel stands tall with confidence. She is an ultra runner who competes in 160 km races. I did not know that that was humanly possible, as so far a marathon was my bench mark. I am so impressed as you can tell!

lighting sets the mood in a photography

Wed 12 Apr 2017

I love lighting. Apparently that is what all photographers say but I really do. I am invested in the emotional aspect of lighting and the way it can influence us what we think and feel. The cinema makes great use of it and guides us sutlely on how to perceive a character and scene from the gritty cyan shaddows to emotional back lit scenes. Excellent and effective lighting is sutle, it doesn't take over but enhances the message and overall raises the production values.

Andrew Robb, actors headshots

Pradal Serey tournament

Tue 4 Apr 2017

The Pradal Serey tournament gave me one of those unique insides into Khmer culture. The mix of ritual, showman ship and fierce fighting was arresting.
